SECRET multimedia was projected on The
Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts the evening of December 31,
2004. It was part of an installation entitled "Marshall McLuhan
Meets Josephine Baker”. Produced by Paul
Guzzardo and Zlatko
Cosic, the installation was constructed out of images and
text from Marshall McLuhan’s groundbreaking work The
Mechanical Bride and animations assembled from the Baker/
Hoover/Winchell FBI files. The Mechanical Bride is recognized
as a book that predicted the cultural and social dislocation of
the information age. It was partially drafted in the early 1940’s
at Saint Louis University. The University is only a short walk
from the Pulitzer Foundation.
